The real funny part is that he was in his back yard.
Hey Joey, how bout the Bow Hunter!!! strikes again!
Good to here you got out ok. It doesn't take mother nature long to put a twist into a hunt. A few years back when duck hunting River Road on the Guatalupe River in S Texas we got out of the truck in a thick fog. The swamp is farmed with cattle and makes for tough walking in the deep mud. Well we usually use a distant tower light for guidance that couldn't be seen this morning. After getting turned around, one of us took off with two others staying behind standing 15' part so the runner could look back for bearings. No compass, gps, moon or other lights. Once he found the body of water he would flash his light while setting decoys. At one time I stumbled and when I gathered myself, I found that I had turned 150 degress barely catching his light out of the corner of my eye. Had a blast of a day with 4 man limit on ducks including limits of Pintail, 9 snows and 4 cacklers. The truck could be seen from where we hunted.
