I AM SO DISAPPOINTED

THE ACTIVITY ON MY LEASE IS ABSOLUTELY POOR IN THE DAYTIME......MY CAMERAS SHOW EVERYTHING AT NIGHT.....I GUESS LOCKDOWN HAS BEEN IN SESSION OR SOMETHING

MAYBE ITS COYOTES...MAYBE ITS THE CATS...

I SAT FOR DAYS WITH ALMOST ZERO ACTIVITY....


SADLY, BUT THIS IS WHAT I HAVE...MAKES ME THINK IT'S THE CAMERAS :

Slow hear as well box. I attribute it to the moon position. We always have the best movement when the moon is straight up or straight down during the last hour and a half of sunlight. Also deer don't feed as much when it is warm, they don't have to. We also need some cold weather, this warm weather without any frost doesn't help. We need the frost to kill all the browse. I only saw two yesterday and I was in the tree for 10hrs.... Mark

I wrote earlier this season about our "can't miss" spot being void of bambiburgers... We moved a quarter mile and had em only ok one day then that was it. I have no clue what dried the one spot out. Its always had people, dogs, horses in there and the deer were used to it. We'd kill a couple a day for weeks or months on end and it didn't bug em. This year nothing. The in town population though was over the top nuts though...

Box it's been slow in pa also, we hunted sat afternoon deer moved at last light bucks and does came into the field together no chasing dogging or anything. Just feeding in the dark. Supposed to be cooler up here this week will see what happens. Good luck.

I agree with OneMoreBite, It's been real slow here in PA. The only Buck that I see right now are the ones on the corn after 10 pm. Usually they come into the feed around 4 pm and after. But lately it's all been night. I hope they start to move more during daylight soon! Buck opens back up next Monday Nov 30th here in PA!

Kind of weird week last week for me

I hunted Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon and deer were everywhere. Saw bullwinkle and his identical twin on Monday and another stud on Tuesday. They were chasing does really hard on Monday.

I also hunted Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon and saw zero. I didn't even see this dumbass spike that I see everytime I hunt this one particular stand. It seemed like they just stopped moving.

Here in central VA the acorn crop didn't happen and our deer are slim with no fat at all. Usually we take an inch of the backstraps. The boys armed with the little 20ga's took another yearling Sat to add to the freezer. Not alot of rut activity and mild weather, only 1 frost and its almost Dec.

They all looked tasty to me!! I'd rather be getting out and seeing nothing than laying around the house healing up!

I ARRIVED AT MY LEASE TODAY AROUND 9AM.....COLLECTED THE PICS FROM 3 CAMERAS AND DECIDED TO HUNT A FIELD......FINALLY....SOME DAYTIME ACTION CAUGHT ON THE TRAIL CAMS.....

I MADE SOME CORRECTIONS ON MY FIELD LADDER STAND AND DECIDED TO TRY MY BOW...

THE CORN I HAD PLACED DOWN LAST FRIDAY WAS GONE.....IT LOOKED LIKE FIVE FARMERS WITH 3 MULES HAD TILLED THE CUT SOYBEANS FIELD WHERE I HAD PLACED THE CORN......I ONLY ADDED A SMALL TRACE OF CORN IN ONE SPOT........TOOK ME AN HOUR SNOOZE IN MY TRUCK AND THEN CLIMBED UP AROUND 2PM......THE CAMERAS HAD A MODEST 6 & 7 CRUISING 25 YDS FROM STAND MID DAY


3:45....................SHIT.....THERE IS A FAIR SIZE 8....40 YARDS....NOTHING BUT AIR BETWEEN HE AND I.....I WAIT....WIND IS PERFECT.....HE NEEDS A WOMAN BAD...SCANNING....FLARING......AH WHAT THE HELL....TURNED HIS HEAD AWAY AND I DREW.....40 YARDS BROADSIDE.....I COULD NOT SEE THE MEAT MISSLE AS IT FLEW.....BUT THE BUCK WENT DOWN AND BOUNCED RIGHT UP AND WENT RIGHT BACK INTO WOODS 20 YARDS AWAY.....

BINGO...BAMALAMA .....


I WAITED MAYBE 5 MINUTES LISTENING AND THEN WENT DOWN TO RETREIVE MY BLADE.........OH NO.....THE BUCK WENT DOWN....BUT NOT ONE TRACE OF RED ON MY SHAFT...THE FLETCHING IS CLEAN AS A BABY'S ASS......PLEASE LORD....I MISSED??.....I WAS STEADY...DID THAT RASCAL JUMP THE STRING THAT BAD???? DID HE DROP ALL THE WAY TO THE GROUND GIVING THE BOX THE ILLUSION OF A K-O ?????

NO BLOOD.....NOT A DROP.....I HAD NO CAMERA TO WATCH AN INSTANT REPLAY ....WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SONY....SHIT...

I FRIGGIN MISSED THE THING.

I CLIMBED BACK UP.....I AM NOT SURE WHICH IS WORSE....MISS A BLUE MARLIN ON DA SHORT OR AN 8 WITH THE BOW?


IT IS NOW 4:45.........HOLEY SAMOLEY THERE HE IS AGIN!!......130 YARDS FURTHER DOWN.....LOOK AT HIM....NOSE DOWN....CHASIN SOME SKIRT....THREE MORE DOES POPPED OUT ON THE OTHER SIDE...MAYBE 260YDS....

IT'S OVERCAST AND LIGHT IS DISAPPEARING FAST.....I'LL WAIT TIL THEY MOVE ON OUT OF SIGHT ......THERE....IT'S DARK 38.
