I remeber that day myself. Since we didn't not go to Mexico my capt and I hunted almost everyday in Jan. over there in Hyde Co. Had some great days shootin!!! But there were some cold ass days!!!!
Thanks guys, that was one of the most fun duck hunts in the past several years. It was blowing so hard by 10:00 the ducks could barely even fly. We missed some Black Ducks hovering over the decoys, I'm blaming it on the wind blowing our shot all to hell. 9 shots at two Blacks and not a feather, oh yeah, and this was all at about 20yds???
Box, that's a little Rage Against the Machine for ya.
Pretty cool video..gotta love Hyde and snow. I remember that day very well in the impoundment there was over 200 ducks killed..then i believe we killed 30 or so blackheads on the river.
If we could just get 4 or 5 snow days a season thats the only days ide go!
Yup - I remember that day. I was driving back from Hatteras from our duck hunt. 7.5 hours to get back to Raleigh in a 4x4 F150. Cars all over the road on 64!!!
It don't get no better than that. I love to gun in the snow...just hardly ever get the weather. Ducks will usually pitch on the gun barrel. Where were the black ducks? I figured they would be ass deep in that weather.
