Hunting With Hanna

We noticed a gap between the North east band and the main storm, 2 hrs coming with little rain. Out to the dove field. The doves noticed the same opening and made a dash for lunch. WOW!!! They can move with a 30-40 kt tail wind. But they also had to fly agianst the wind every now and then. 6 limits in the first 30 minutes 6 more within the hour. Another couple before the rain picked back up at around 1:30. I have never seen the dove fly in a down pour, but they where still at it when we pulled out.

Another good day for Wil. I opted to be bird dog and let Wil do the shooting, bagged 4 on the wing. Not bad....got a lot of shooting, probably shot 60 shells one at a time. Another great hunt with Popsy and Wil.

Nice work. we were supposed to hunt our lease again today but i was not driving 40 minutes to get rained out. next round is thursday. I might be there after work if I can roll out early!

Nice job man..im sure that wind and storm coming had em moving. I didnt know whether or not it would be worth it before the storm so i stayed at the house

Had a first last week. Got a banded bird. My guess is we have gotten them before and never noticed the band, they are tiny and I did not know there was such a thing. Called it in this morning, wait to see if it was a local bird or not..
