whats the story on the porkers?
Mike
steve, sulfur is north of Hackberry on the same side of the calcasieu river, big lake.
also Sulfur is more like 3 to 3.5 hours depending on traffic in nola, baton rouge, lafayette and lake charles. all cities mentioned are on I-10. New orleans is on the miss. river which is the eastern border of most of the state and Sulfur is 25 miles from the Sabine river which is the western border of our state.
the ducks and geese that fly over sulfur, fly over Hackberry in the same morning. :-)
Great pictures John. the hunting and fishing here in louisiana can be fantastic.
that just ain't fair. making me itch to get to LA even more.
Mike the story behind the porkchop is that we went our hunting for some pigs since down there they are over ran by them and they just want them dead. Good thing im a northern and we dont have them here so i was all for it.
Set out one day and ended up coming up on a big sow(didnt know that at the time) and shot her at about 50+ yards. Went up there to get her when all the baby pigs came out running so we started catching them. Didnt really know what we were going to do at the time but later brought 10 home and they are gonna raise then kill them for food. Those things are pretty cool, they were like little dogs after a few days. Follow you around and played with the other dogs like they weer dogs. I"ll be eating good when i go back down there this fall again
John, Great picture report!

You want to come down to Maryland and kill some birds, you are just a PM away!!! Let me know!
