Thats great info right there for any owner of a hunting dog. If they didn't sum it I don't know what will. My buddy's lab is hunting at nine and she does great, he gives her a little pain medicine for arthritis and feeds her plenty just to keep the weight on her as she gets older, but not too much to make her fat.
It was a pretty emotional few months for me. I got Sandie(everyone tells me I spelled her name wrong) on my 16th birthday, and she was a great friend and hunting companion.
I still think I hear her at the door occasionally or see her laying at the end of the couch.
I still have to fight back the tears when talking about it so I tend to just avoid it.
Her ashes will be in a goose decoy that I carved after getting home from the vet. Carving really took my mind off the loss. I'll post some pics when I get it finished.
