    Horns on the Ground

Left around 11:15 from the house and was going to try and get a Fri evening hunt in and just made it to the stand with 30 min til dark. As I was coming to the field there was a doe in the field already, I waited her out and she moved on without making any commotion. With about 10 min til dark I saw a buck which I think is a 6 point but I'm having trouble making out all the points. Maybe with a little help I can get confirmation. Next morning woke up and hunted the same field for about 3 hrs and only saw this spike buck.

Wanted to hunt another spot mid-day and do some grunting but never saw anything.

Later that evening I proceeded to another field that a nice 8 had been taken the week prior, I got on stand about 3:00 and 20 min later I had deer filing in to the field looking for something to eat. 2 spikes and a doe ate for about an hour and then moved on into the pines. I hoped to see a something worth shooting and my chance came with about 20 til dark a nice cull 8pt buck, nice rack on the left side buck a messed up right side. I needed to take him out of the herd and that's what I did! Here are some pics of the biggest deer of my career, I know it's not massive but a special deer for me. Life is Good!!!
