![]() kinda like picking apples, I mean pears. BeagleMans Pear tree stand paid off this morning. Thought I got there a little too late, but then the fog came in, so I had a while to wait till I could see. Once the fog lifted this boy was a waiting on the corn pile for me. I think maybe I will wait till it gets a little cooler to shoot another. Dang it is too hot to be killing and having to worry about racing to the processer to get the meat cooled down. 10pt 155lb(guessing) I hope every one had as good a morning as I had!!!! |

You go girl..........nice buck!
My season will not open till Sept 1 for Bow and then regular season opens Sept 15th. Im in Zone 5 (Horry County). I did notice this morning that our 5 buck limit has been done away with now. Little surprised they did that. Now you can kill as many as you want I guess. Im sure the insurance companies had a hand in that change. Saw some HAWGS in the cemetary yesterday though, probably will put the hammer to one of those next weekend. Good Luck with your season! |

You did get him! Way to call your shot!
There was a stand on our last farm called the "pear tree stand". It was a bean lot that had a huge pear tree about 50 yds out of the NW corner of the field. The stand was in the hedgerow. A few real nice bucks fell in the early season in that field. And a pile of does thanks to yours truly. Your hunt brings back some fond memories. Thanks for sharing. Holwachagot
