I hope the kid nails him!!! Good luck. I carried a young lady (now about 23yrs old) who I've known since she was a little thing, fishing this summer. She bear hunts with her daddy and me, so she's no slouch. She always wanted to go out in the ocean and fish but was never able. She got her first chance on a beautiful day with me, out of Oregon Inlet. We started bottom fishing catching some real pretty tiles. She ended up catching the biggest one of the day, a real nice fish. Wouldn't you know some dolphin showed up around the boat and we started bailing,or she did anyway. I saw to it she stayed in fish, got plenty of pictures etc.... In between fish she was standing next to her daddy and said Mr. Frank ,I think this is the best day of my life , Priceless, Frank

I am the lucky DAD who's son will be fishing with Wahoo on saturday!! I can tell you from what I have seen to this point this will be a most memorable for our family. I just sat him down and showed him the video's and told him that is where we will be hunting and he is pumped!!! So am I!! I will actually have both my sons over there for the hunt as well as one of my employees. I am really looking forward to meeting Marty and hopefully we will make this and other trips with him a regular thing. I dont think I can afford to have it filmed this round but maybe we can get some good pics and post them when we get back home.

Seapower:
That last line teared me up a bit!!! That is awesome! I wish I was able to help children in that situation get to experience that once in a lifetime hunt or fish! I have pondered many times starting or atleast helping to start a foundation to do just that very thing. Hats off to you for making it happen!!!!!! |

Make it happen,
BigDaddy, it's not about foundations ,it's all of us remembering how we got started. Chances are someone took the time to bring us to the sport. Let us be involved. I know there are alot of guy's on this site that don't like hunting with dogs, that's OK. I've got a fair size bunch of beagles, some deer hunt, some rabbit hunt, none both. I don't go where I'm not welcome and try not to put my dogs in that situation as well, I go over and above to be responsible and respectful of others. That being said I keep my dogs up for the kids and the old guy's that will show up to hunt. Most of the time I don't even have a gun (that'll be me in the background yelling ,there he goes). I enjoy to hunt where it's about some else getting the deer. If I don't take another buck, no problem. I'm there for the hunt, I've taken enough. That first rabbit, deer, bear that person takes set's the stage for the rest of their life in alot of cases. I gotta tell ya some of the best hunts are with some of the old timers, that haven't been able to hunt or take an animal in years. You want to see an old guy well-up, get the warmest hand shake you ever got,set him up on a good hunt. I remember when hunting was a group effort, when it wasn't all about "me". When I fish it's the same thing, unless we are jammed with fish I never go for the rod. I provide the boat, gear and just a little know how. I've had my fun, I've done my job , now go reel in your fish. Hope your kid get's him.Frank

Inspiration
Box, you still continue to blow me away. I looked at all that footage this morning.....wow....you inspired me so much on that double buck footage yesterday, when my wife got home and I had just put my 2 1/2 year old son down for a nap, I told her hunny I am getting a shower and heading for the acorn ridge back on the farm. Well I didn't kill one, but it was definitely enjoyable. I am going to start taking a small camera with me from now on. I just need to get up to speed like you with this picture downloading a dnfilm uploading and what not, but no worries I will figure it out. I hope that you man has his lucky day next Saturday with you brother. I agree with Seapower, we all had someone introduce us to it at one time or another, some of us probably a little earlier than others, but it sure would have been nice to have all of that on film.... now you got me thinking with this film thing that if I can get it down pat in the next year or so then I can be downloading pics of my little boy busting bluebills and geese and catching his first bailer dolphin etc. on here in another two years or so. That would be killer. Keep it up!
