You have 2 nice Buck there Box! Just think what they are going to look like in 2 more years if they last that long?
Great video's! Can't wait to see the last one!!
Marty, I have only had the chance twice so far to see 2 bucks going at it! It is a pretty cool thing to see while your out there! The other cool think was a Buck & a Doe going at it, if you know what I mean!
I had a nice 8 about 10 yds from me last night I drew back and let it go! And to my horror I hear my cam wack my climber! The shot went high and took quite a few hairs off the top of his back! I hope I get another chance at him!

The smaller one might be 2 1/2 but I think the bigger is 3 1/2 if you have 2 1/2's that big stay home don't bother comming up here cause your 4 year old's should be HUGH!
I think that Buckeye was closest. I think that the smaller buck is a 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 year old, more likely a 3 1/2. The bigger one looks to be a 4 1/2 year old, maybe older. I used to struggle a lot with trying to age 'em when I decided to target mature bucks only. Got some great advise from an exepctional hunter here in NC. He suggested saving jawbones from all of the deer I could get my hands on and learning how to age them. Along with a really good aging document I have (based on tooth wear). It has taught me a bunch. Got to remember we are in NC, coastal plain in particular with poor soils. We typically don't get bucks with the mass of the smaller one within 2 1/2 years here (look at how big his bases are, rack is not spindly) except in the upper piedmont. Looking at the overally mass, beam length and tine length of the bigger buck, along with his deeper chest and overall body appearance, I think he's more like a 4 1/2. I would look no further and give him all I've got...truly an exceptional deer for where you are. The double white throat patch will also look great when you put him on the wall.
