for the 2nd year in a row my dad has suprised me with the buck i shot on youth day. last year he gave it to my grandfather while were in NC. this year before we went to rhode island to visit my mom's family he gave it to my grandfather. i think it looks great

yes. my dad and i hunted hard this year. shot a small doe in late rifle. saw a nice buck but could not get a shot off. still waiting for the big boy in willards to step out. a few people who work on the farm have seen him in the afternoon. i hope he makes a mistake in the next few weeks....

Seriously, it sounds like you had a marginal shot at the Big One and you made the decision to wait for a better one. That is a sign of a good hunter.

Parker and I have been shooting our bows a between duck hunts..It's a lot of fun. Hopefully we'll be confident enough to hunt with them in the coming season.

We've been hunting hard with little of late to show for it. Fishing in the bay has been just as bad. We may take up bowling.
