    Good ducking Va, middle opener

My boys and I had a pretty good hunt today for as early as it is in the year and as warm as it has been--- 3 Woodies, 3 Blacks and 3 Mallards. Very poor shooting on our part early in the morning. A crumby am tide left us to opt for a hardwood swamp portion of my club. The Woodies were in thicker than the October season and they were in our face in the flooded Tupulo and Water Oak. Waiting on the afternoon tide ( and stuck in the tidal swamp low tide, we made a good breakfast of eggs & Sausage and caught a quick nap just waiting for some water. Not many Springs or Teal were seen in the big marsh this morning by another party so we set up in a big creek. When the tide filled the banks, the birds flew well and our shooting was much improved with some room to manuver in. My pup ( 11 mths old today) revieved every bird and even found a cripple on his own back in the swamp---- I couldn't be happier. Guys in the next blind ( a double blind we call the party blind) had 5 gunners and limited out all on quality ducks.
Sorry no pics as I lent my lens to Pino for one of his international escapades.
I'm done for a week or so to go vistit my mom for Thanksgiving.

Great report, as VA ducks are hard to come by alittle further inland. We didn't fare so well, not even the click of a safty. Did get a text from my brother hunting geese with 4 others going 15 birds on 13 shots in one pass. He had his cam set up and didn't record. We were on Anna not seeing much at all.
