Getting ready for Bambi
I haven't Bass fished much at all this year since the new arrival of my son (7 months old) however I have been shooting my bow a little and getting ready for some fresh meat!
The Parker seems to be tuned in quite well! My 6 year old little girl asked to Turkey hunt with me this past year and oh what a joy that was! We didn't kill anything but we had fun and saw birds. While shooting this past week she came up to me and asked if she could try shooting. Just the question I had been waiting on her to ask I told her absolutely. Went in and got a youth bow out which was setting and waiting for this very occasion. Took her a few minuets and a little help from Dad but she is on her way! Kids are great. :

I am assuming that turkey is a pet in the backround, the little bunny doesn't look to scared either.

She visits once to twice a day and brings her little one along. Something happened because her little one is much smaller than the rest in the area. When I first saw her (several weeks back) she had 5 little ones and now is down to only one. I know if a hen has her nest invaded and looses her eggs, she will go and do it again. I believe this is what happened to her and rightful so since she doesn't appear to be very smart. Guess there is such a thing as a Democratic Turkey. I just hope she is attractive enough to those long beards and brings them around next spring! Last edited by JSV; 08-26-2009 at 04:30 PM. |

it looks like you are in a rural area, I could see if you lived in a suburb where they arn't hunted but in the country those things just don't come around us meat eaters like that. Good stuff, I'm sure your daughter enjoys seeing her and the little one.
