You ever just have one or two days that get the juices flowing and that switch just flips?
I was out fishing today with my dad and uncle in the bay and couldn't buy a decent striper bite. I tried the places I prefer and finally found some very willing bluefish.
I looked off into the distance and saw a big blue thing floating. I first think it's a kayak, or an abandoned kayak. Thinking of proper protocol to hail the CG I approach it slowly, looking for an unlucky boater.
Well it turns out to be a piece of dock foam, so no high seas rescue for me today.
Took the foam home and got a hackin.
From 6-8 with dinner in between I was able to get 4 swan bodies ready for burlap. Sure 3 of them are headless feeder decoys, but the darn things are feeding like mad where I need them for confidence.
Tail boards are glued in and if things go as normal I'll get them finished by the 2009-2010 season!
DAVE......only you would find a foam floater and see a goose decoy. Now thats having insight there buddy. Good luck with them. let me know if you ever make any more like the one I bought of yours at the Barta.
