The future's so bright....
"ya gotta wear shades"... so the song says. Friday afternoon we hit the lease and checked a couple cameras. We had an idea where some daytime hogs were and we were right. Kay decided where she would hunt and figured she would at least see some pork. Before 5:00PM I get a text saying there are 18 pigglets with one sow coming in and she sends me a pic. We don't shoot sows with pigs or pregnant sows at least not knowingly. Her target was the 150# boar that was hanging around these sows sometimes or even better would have been the 200# + boar that ran the 150# off last week but never offered a shot. She had the 200#er at 18 yds but he was extremely causious and would neither be still or offer a decent bow shot. Kay was very patient and when this boar showed, she took her sweet time and waited on a high percentage quartering away shot. She put her Slick Trick right in the boiler room and after a lowd squeal and a 75 yard sprint he piled up. Sure is nice to see that we have some seed for the future as well.

Hope It Hold's Up,
My experience has been "any" pressure and you know what they'll do. I'm not saying it, so they won't get any idea's! Frank

You are right about the pressure. We seem to be able to get away with slightly more by only shooting with the bow. All but one of the other members are gun hunters and usually it's one and done for those sounders and the big bang. We sometimes get return visits, on occasion even a second op for another shot right away.
