    Friday Afternoon Scull

Met Mike around 1 on friday afternoon and launched the boat. This time we had a good feeling. Ducks and Geese were in season and it was 60 and sunny. If I were a duck I'd be sleeping on a log somewhere.

Took a Mallard, 4 Honkers, and a pair of Buffies. Mike's first was a nice Bull too!!

Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Of course that's because the birds cooperated!!!

Hell I've been stumbling my way around in a scull boat for quite some time.

One thing I can guarantee is no one will ever figure it out!!

Talk about needing patience and desire. If I keep this stuff up I'd hate to arm wrestle me.

What happened with yout friday?....heard a report from down there with some good news....about the only good news around here.

friday I hunted on the honga. I went by myself so I walked in to the pond. I got some shots at some mallards and blacks but I missed.

There was a guy hunting a squatter site off the point. He was going alot of shooting mostly butterballs though. I talked to him at the boat ramp and told him I had the private property and we exchanged #s so we didnt screw each other up.

I went to the court house and there are six squatter sites on the land. that should be fun.

I did jump 5 turkeys pn the way out that was fun. I have never seen turkey in the wild like that. I was waling riught under them while they were in the trees.

turkeys are always cool to see. My deer place in Talbot has a flock of maybe 40 on it and I found them quite a few times in the early morning darkness as they busted from their roost. The best was the day I got in the climber and there was a turkey turd on the seat, and when I got halfway up the tree the woods exploded with wing beats and plenty of cackling. I almost shit.

If you have the rights to that place for a while make sure you get the owner to get a 3 year shoreline license over the summer.

Nick anytime you wanna try sculling let me know and we'll try and get out. It's interesting to say the least. My heart was beating like I was stalking a 10 pt buck when I peeked through the reeds and saw a blinking goose eye.

Glenn you need to bring about 100lbs of lead with you if you wanna be the bow man!!.

It looks to be nice weather this week for some sculling.

Could I use a trolling motor instead of a ore?

Absolutly. Just tell the MAN you are not really hunting at the moment--- just moving from one corn pile to the next.

I see two things wrong with that.

I would have to put down my beer to drive and I would be leaving a pefectly good corn pile.
