I live in Pittsboro NC (just south of Chapel Hill) on 50 acr. This is the first year that i have taken bow hunting seriously. Sat. morning I hunted the black powder opener and shot a nice doe. Sat. afternoon in the stand at 4:00. And at 5:30 a couple does walk into the field and this little buck followed them out. I shot him at 20yards and he ran about 15 yards and dropped. Not a monster but I was happy to have him.
Good luck too all
Hope you get the big one

Thats right Dave thosands upon thousands and hours on end. Its a disease. Totaly worth it if you are hunting with Wahoo where he has a deer problem. They run around like rats and cats at the commercial dock.
This is the first year that NC hunters hunting on private land could legally use a bow in muzzle loading season, and you are the first person I have heard of that was able to take advantage of the new law. Congrats on your first buck with the bow, that's something to be proud of. Hopefully there will be many more in your future.
