Final Tally for 08-09

Here is my final tally for the season. It went by to fast. I have never spent so much time in the field and woods in my intire life as I did this fall. We goose season was unreel to say the least we took a combined 307 geese from sept1 till the 14th. Our fields are all socked in with 10 inches of snow. We did manage to take just about all of deer season from goose hunting. Deer hunting started off red hot. Then as we put preasure on the hurd things became real slow. We saw about 8 diffrent buck opening day of rifle season. My buddy took a real nice 8 that I let got about 5 times during landowners.We ended up shooting one 8 a spike and a doe. My buddy went up to alberta taking a 125 whitetail and a 180 class muley. Im not sure how many deer I let pass by me. First two days of nov. If I had my bow out there I would have tagged out. The deer were all with in 20 yards I had the 8 my buddy got within 20 yards 5 days in a row. I let countless does walk threw out the season. It was the best deer season I have ever had. Pheasants I wnet out 2 times with a freind and his cocker suzy. Man we had a good time. i think I shot 3 birds. Thats was it. Its hard to get out there when the deer hunting was as good as it was. Always next year. The only thing left here in CT is yote and small game stuff rabbit and squirrle. Im getting to be a pretty good shot with the .308 I got mid season. Ill be trying to score a few yotes to thin the hurd down. That was my season. Cant wait for may 6th turkeys. Oh yea then it will be time for the 100 fathom line to turn on. I forgot the 11 drake woodies and 6 drake mallards. Tally on band 16 1 100 dollar money band. No collard birds this year.
