This afternoon was another great one in the marsh!! The cold snap froze up a lot of the fresh water and the ducks headed into the marsh. We had to run the boat through the gut to bust out a hole big enought to float the decoys. The ducks made their showing with a limit on mallards blacks and pintails. Sandy was loving it getting a great workout in the icy waters. Here are some photos of sandy doing what she does best!!!!













The sunset was awesome tonight we barely made it back to the boat landing because of the tide and the amout of ice. The ice was getting pretty heavy duty. You can see the trail we had to bust through with the boat.

Sandy just plain loves it. She sees me get the gun out and if I don't take her she just plain pouts all evening. She was even chasing cripples under the ice today.

I know how you feel and hope you get some action. We have had day after day of sitting in the blind and not firing a shot! It just turned on good yesterday.

Way to go on the limit! I hunted just off the Broadkill yesterday afternoon for an hour and the only ducks I saw were high and thick - but heading north toward the Missipillion.

We've got blinds on the Broadkill that I should be setting decoys at right now. Work is cramping my style and I'm feeling a temper tantrum comming on.

Had another nice day out in the marsh. Came out with 7 mallards and 2 black ducks. Another good workout for Sandy!!

No way. I own a Lab. She is 4 yrs old. Same color and ready for this, the same name ( SANDY)

My daughter named her when she was a puppy.

What are the odds. I will try to post pictures of her, so you can see for yourself.
