removed 14 oct. Seems there are a bunch of laws applicable and I don't need any violations. Thanks to those who offered to send them along free. Seems that is OK, but not buying certain ones.

Send me a Pm around Thanksgving and I should be able to supply all of the duck feathers you want. We'll get our Swans as well, but that's not usually till mid to late December.
I'll be happy to give the feathers to you (no charge)--- Since I'm getting lazy in my old age, I breast most of my ducks (and all Swans), so I'll skin the birds and send to whole skin and wings to you and you can pick till your heart is content.
Just remind me cause I will forget.

Ok guys, here’s an opportunity to make some $ to pay for ammo this fall. I use feathers, many of which come from the birds/ducks you shoot, to tie flies for fly fishing. Below is a list of birds , what feathers I’m looking for, and how much I am willing to pay. Shouldn’t take anyone long to pluck these feathers and send them to me. Yes, you can sell these feathers for fly tying, you just can’t export them.

Mallard- Bronze feathers from the shoulders, gray flank, and curl from the tail. $5/bird, I need 3 birds
Teal- colored wing quills and black/white flanks $5/bird, need 2
Woodduck- lemon flanks and the flanks with the black/white tips. $5/bird, up to 6 birds
Dove- complete wings $3/bird, need 2
Pintail- flanks and the long shoulder feathers $5/bird, need 2
Snipe- wings/body $3/bird, need 2
Quail- back and wings $3/bird, need 2
Hooded Merganser – brown flanks and black/white shoulders $7/bird, up to 6 birds (not sure if you can shoot these anymore)
Swan $20 for whole wing pair, $10 for body feathers (at least a good bag of them) need 1.

may want to check out the legality of buying migratory game birds, last I new it is against the law to sell or purchase parts of migratory game birds, your really asking for it looking to buy stuff,
best way to spend your money is to buy from a fly tying supply
you can get all you ever need from a legal vendor.

SUBPART J -- FEATHERS OR SKINS
§ 20.91 Commercial use of feathers.
Any person may possess, purchase, sell, barter, or transport for the making of fishing flies, bed
pillows, and mattresses, and for similar commercial uses the feathers of migratory waterfowl
(ducks, geese, brant, and swans) killed by hunting pursuant to this part, or seized and condemned
by Federal or State game authorities, except that:
(a) No person shall purchase, sell, barter, or offer to purchase, sell, or barter for millinery or
ornamental use the feathers of migratory game birds taken under authority of this part; and
(b) No person shall purchase, sell, barter, or offer to purchase, sell, or barter mounted specimens
of migratory game birds taken under authority of this part.

So, as you can see, it is legal. Thank you for the concern, but please do your research before suggesting I am doing something illegal in a public forum.

Yes, fly tying suppliers sell most of this, but if I can save some $ and pay for some others ammo, why not?
