End of woodcock season
Yesterday the 3 musketeers took me to their timberdoodle grounds for the last day of the season...
Came back short of one for a limit and was quite amazed to see so many birds. Nice job on your scouting boys! A pair of English Setters and Mr Box on the Video wood make a fine movie for Box Productions....  These taste alright but they are quite smaller than their european cousins.  Hunting is over so it's time to earn some points for some spring fishing...  Didn't take long to Wack n Stack this 90 year old oak. Two weeks and it will have been gobbled up by the buck stove...   Anyone want to exchange some Turkey hunting for some bottom fishing ? These boys want to try that badly this year and I don't know where to start!!!! I know how to turkey hunt but don't have the place, if you are looking for some how to's, I am just down the road from you. If you are looking for a place to hunt, we are in the same boat. We need to meet up any way. I can teach the boys to call if nothing else, maybe through in a few setup pointers as well.

sounds good MM, we don't have any plans for the coming weekend so it's pretty much open, give it some thought and pick the time,
