ducks took a day off

Virtually nothing flew this morning. We did an afternoon river hunt yesterday and the Ringnecks have moved on, but the puddlers flew pretty good and we watched em go to roost in our marshes. This morning nada, not much at all in or out of the marsh--- maybe they high tailed it to Carolina last night--- damnifino? 2 mallards yesterday and a single one this morning. Oh well, here tell there is a good group of Widgeon 5 miles down river (at least as of Wednesday), and the giant gang of Teal hanging around will hopefully bust up in a day or two.

Was on a pile of divers for a little while and everyone of them seems to have left.

They have been moving alot lately it seems although we keep getting fresh birds as well.

Will be to my north all next week..we'll see what happens.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM OUR LEASE OWNER YESTERDAY TELLING ME THAT THE EIGHT POINTER WAS BACK IN THE FRONT FIELD AT 11:00 AM YESTERDAY....RICK HUNTED THE LEASE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AND GOT 2 DOES

ya i hunted the 24th on the mattaponi river and we killed a few ringnecks and a mallard. saw tons of birds just couldnt get them to come in. Then hunted this morning on the pampatike river, and we killed a ringneck and 2 geese and again saw loads of geese but they were set on a field across the river and wouldnt even give us a look.
