ducks and deer

Will post pics later but today huntin ducks in the morning and deer in the afternoon.

Killed:

1 old squaw
2 scoters
13 buffle heads
4 slick heads

The old squaw has been on my list for a long time, and not take one yet.

Here's a decent one from a few weeks back.

It was cold and wet so the bird is a little ragged looking.

Dave we get very few here. I see them once a season or so, Last year we had a pair enter the spread, the hen stayed and the drake hit the after burners, sometimes I wish I was shooting also...

We are gonna hit them again on Friday.. Try to get into some more sea ducks this time.

My digital camera got stolen this past summer along with my tackle box, right out of my boat so for now all I have is the phone.

The long tail I shot was a hen and she got wasted. I was still shootin #1's that I had for ducks and geese in Arkansas. Next time i'm bringin like 4's or 6's cause we did a crap load of missing. We shot 16 but I bet we missed 20-30 with no exaggeration involved. We had ducks 30 yards on the water, get covered up by shot, and fly out of the spray created by the shot. It was a little ridiculous, but from what I hear thats sea duck huntin.

Almost got my swan but the three decided to skirt the decoys at 75 yards so I figured I wouldn't take a chance.

Like Tyson said we are going on Friday as long as the boat is running ( had an error light come on and can't figure out whats wrong, its at the shop today and hopefully I will know soon) we should do some serious damage if its anything like it was.
