Pictured is what Dowdys bay looked like this am.SLICK CAM.Still had great hunting {pintails widgeon and gadwalls} Even had a few of those beloved ringnecks for those boys to the North and after we finished up my crew wanted some more fun in the sun.So off I ran out into the sound and put her on the marks...Lots of bendos..Put her in a circle fo an hour or so and the boys were happy.Two over 27 inches and one 29.Nice class of rockfish.Glad for all of the good lords bounty..
Covered up with the blackducks this am..It was dark and the first single came in and landed.It was legal but dark.Then a pair of mallards came in and lit.couldnt get a good read if they were black or green until they finally sat there long enough and I turned the guns loose on them.Then another three mallards fell in there and we crushed them.Then five black ducks came in and lit.Rediculous we cant shoot these dumb SOBs until Dec..Shortly after that we had a showing of five wood ducks and killed three of them.Then a single ringer followed by another single ringer..Then a pair of bull pintails lit..They sat a little outside and swam in closer before jumping and rising right over the blind and the boys rolled them out.Ended the hunt at 11:15 after getting buzzed by a single greenwing (standing to shoot him) and looked over the decoys and saw 3 gadwalls backpedling in the decoys..Killed two and cripled the third and I ran him down in the boat and black clouded the shit out of him.TOTAL 5 MALLARDS, 3 WOOD CHICKENS,2 RINGERS,2 PINTAILS,and 3 BEEP BEEPS.
Good news and bad news.Good news was we still saw alot of ducks today.Bad news my party didnt fair as well as their previous guests..We ended up with four ducks today..Kinda disapointing after the two weeks we have experienced but thats duck hunting..They have wings and can go wherever they want.SW winds at nothing made for rough gunning for my crowd..Regardless we will be back at em tomorrow..I still have a handful of days left in Dec and Jan if anyone is intrested..Shoot me a PM and ill send you the dates I have..Thank you.
Sorry for the report delay.. Last Saturday was our last day of the split here in NC and turned out to be a great day...Good wind and some great guys that are fellow SPORTFISHERMEN.COM members joined me today..Ended up knocking down 15 ducks and picking up 13..Teal blackheads ringers and a bonus wood duck...Great day with some good guys..Hey Mike that guy has a huge ass..I got 2 given us a look..Thanks for your patronage and look forward to seeing you guys soon..Thank you.
Hunting opened back up Saturday dec 13th and there are still plenty of ducks and swan around...Plenty of teal and mallards..13 TEAL AND 4 MALLARDS THIS AM..I have a few days left in January so feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email.Thanks..252-395-1907
