    Duckin' vacation...

    The boys hunted just about every day of winter break, up at 5.00 and gone to bed at nine! These fellas sure have turned into real duckaholics! Back into wet waders and the cold to wait for just a few ducks.. Not quite my kind of thing anymore after having it too easy in my younger years! I did make it out with them a few times and here are a few pictures...



















    The redheads haven't showed up yet this year but they aren't far... They did bring back about every day some mallards as they now hunt more in the marshes instead of only open water. Lots of stories each time they came back for food and hot chocolate!!!

    Dave, it's the Dominator from Bankesboat. A small boat but one heck of a machine! Jeff "Ponce" is the one who was willing to part from it to make the boys Happy... It was supposed to be for the Piedmont but they "have" to take it to the coast... Excuse... We can't load all the decoys in the Polarcraft!!

    Ace, there is a smoke cloud of redheads in Cedar Island... They must be very content on a downeast cornpile as they haven't ventured down to Cape lookout yet...

    Goeff, they came back with only coins left in the wallet!!! Their last meal on the road was a box of dunkin doughnuts....
    First question coming back home. What's for supper???
    Hope they'll take care of me one day!

    Bankes definitely makes one heck of a duck boat. I've had a 21' Goliath for 5 seasons now and it's definitely a beast too.

    Enjoy the rest of the season. It's 20 and windy here today so I'm sure the ice is forming and we'll be sending some ducks south to you.
