Wood ducks by far would be my pick. Although alot of guys i know choose a gadwall over about anything.

Most of them are quite decent if prepped and cooked right. I personally dont care too much for a bird thats spent much time in the salt though

Well...I guess I sorta "borrowed" the gist of this dish from Butch.....But the addition of the garlic, zest, and Grand Mariner came after too much "garage time".

Worked out rather well though.

I had no ideat that there was a kitchen on the golf course...? Wifie must be the cook!

Bone in Canvasback breast swimming in a Mushroom soup, garlic, onion, garlic, carrot, Grand Mariner and orange zest bath for a whole day in the crock pot. Served over wild rice with a pre dinner shot of the remaining GM. Add salt pepper and more garlic if desired.

No leftovers here. Even the swamp collie had a plate.
