Duck Hunting Report

Well, Duck season closed today for a couple of weeks.

Maybelle and I hunted pretty hard in the swamp and even killed a few ducks.

Maybelle has been making some pretty good retrieves. She is really starting to figure things out in the swamp. In fact, now when I miss, she looks at me and grumbles. Those of you that have hunted with me know that is a frequent occurance, I am not a very good shot.

Here she is with the Drake Woody she got to fetch this morning, what a pretty bird, he was big, full color, very mature bird, he was definately the old man in the swamp.

Nice job Jay and pass along a well done for Maybelle as well. I'm sure she will be anxiously awaiting the next season.
