    Duck decoys

I am lookin for some new duck decoys and was wondering what everyone used. I have always had plastic ie. Flambeau, carry lite, G&H, etc. I am wanting something a little better such as cork or decently priced wood ones. I am looking at buying a few at a time not a whole rig.

So what do you use or recommend?

I WOULD NOT WASTE THE MONEY ON CORKS OR WOOD DECOYS. MY RIG IS HAND MADE AND EACH DECOY WAS BETWEEN 40 - 50$ . THE NEW PLASTIC ONES WITH THE FLOCKED HEADS ARE JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER. THE WOOD AND CORK GET BANGED UP AND NEED TOUCHING UP YEARLY.

I WOULD BUY TWO DOZ W/ FLOCKED HEADS, USE THEM FOR A COUPLE YRS. THEN BUY NEW AGAIN.

If you want the nostalga and tradition of wood, I'm sure you'll get alot of satisfaction with them--- they are heavy as hell and do ding up, but I'm a firm believer that today's mass produced decoys are too pretty and too perfect.
All in all, if you hunt puddlers, you by get by much cheaper using good plastic plugs and replacing every so often. If you're a diver shooter, something other than hollow plastic may save you in the long run.
By far, the very best decoy made, which in indestructible, and the choice of professional guides is Plasti-duk--- solid foam with a plasitic cover--- they are expensive as hell, but will last a lifetime.
