Got an invite from a friend that lives in SC to hunt with him. He said we would be hunting in thick pines and I could bring whatever weapon I wanted. I figured the muzzle loader would be a good choice with the heavy bullet. I don't usually choose to hunt pines, I'm more of a oak ridge guy. I figured maybe I'll learn something new. I did, saw 3 bucks chasing in the first 30 minutes but could not get a shot for the thick brush. I then put out some Golden Estrus stink hung on branch about 60 yards down wind in the only simi-clear shooting lane I had. At 8:30 this buck stuck his nose nearly touching the stink stick before I even knew he was there. Guess the smell of that stuff made him sick cause he died shortly after.
