Dove with a touch of Wine

    Oh' what a day!
This is going to be a long one so top off your glass and set back for a few.

When Karens Va Beach Rock-n-Roll Half Marothon weekend canceled after her being hospitalized for pheumonia for 6 days, I figured we needed to do a little something that she would really enjoy. So I contacted our neighbor about the vineyard where he works, he responded with "come on up". Mike is the last person to taste the wine before it goes into the bottle and they are in full gear including bottling which is rare for this time of year.

Mike took our little family of 10 including Karens parents, sister and her two little ones on our own private tour informing us as to what takes place from grape to bottle.

Karen has finally got her taste buds back and what better way to make sure than walking through the wine cellar of a vineyard running in top gear taking a sip here and a sip there! Oh' can the boys get that in the back of the truck? she ask.

We are all happy here in C'ville now that Karens is back!

    Now for the hunting report.

    This shot sums it up.

We had plenty of shooting between the 5 of us hunting the 200 acre millet food plot! Unfortunately we were unable to hunt the above section as the farming practices did not allow us near the power lines loaded with birds.

Even without the chance of sitting in the honey hole. We had a great shoot and our dog Walt had a busy day making many retrieves in the cool 80 degree air.

My brother with Nolan and Wyatt watch as a few of the stray flyers neared late into the evening.

A couple of shots of the boys showing their focus on the hunt.

The boys showing off a few of the birds while standing near the oversized JD tractor used to work the fields we enjoy so much to hunt.
