Dave,
Run out to the nearest open field and gather up all the seeded thistles you can find... Spread the seeds of discontentment...

It sounds like the mowing equipment was on site. If so, fire off a bill for equipment delivery/recovery and time on site that will provide you with sufficient ammo to last the season. Odds are that he, I mean, his wife won't allow him to pay the bill nor would you be able to hunt there again but I'll bet the existance of a unpaid bill would certainly encourage spirited discussion around their dinner table.
That sounds good. Would we need a signed contract to file a lien?
That would sure start some trouble!!

Business and lawsuits have both been executed due to breach of oral contract.
Hell, include my consultation fee in the bill. I just laid my eyes on some of the nicest looking cork widgeon decoys that will nice bobbing on the Marsh pond. I could use a little extra scratch to make that addition to the rig.
I'll keep you updated on our progress.
I was gonna repaint the widgies, but my new decoy policy is a slash and burn one. Get em done and if they'll hunt....hunt em.
