Deer hunting in Tyrell County, NC

I belong to a little club in Tyrell County, NC. We are seeing more bear than deer. We are up against the Wildlife National refuge which was the location of the big burn this summer. We suspect the bears came out and relocated near the corn and soybean fields.

We have had modest success. I will enclose a few pictures. The first a morning hunt.

Then a picture of the boat we used to cross a canal to retrieve a deer.

last is me with an 8 pointer on Halloween.

We have seen some bears up here east of richmond in VA which we say came from the burn down there. We usually don't have them around here. Thanks for the pics

by refuges, marshes, canals, lowlands, corn, and soybean fields. The farm and a lot of surrounding lands are owned by the Mormons. They have a diversified portfolio. We buy hunting rights from them.

a wreck. We borrowed it from a local farmer. But it got us across.
