BUT....BUT.....WHEN A DOG OWNER SHOWS LACK OF CONCERN FOR MY RIGHTS....AND THIS IS WHAT WE EXPERIENCE IN EASTERN NC....AND WHEN MY RIGHTS ARE VIOLATED BY ANOTHER MAN WHO SHOWS NO CONCERN FOR MY INVESTMENT OF TIME , MONEY & LAND.....THEN I WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE THINGS GO IN MY FAVOR....

I HAVE HAD GUYS DRIVE UP TO MY STAND ON MY LAND AND ASK ME IF I HAVE SEEN THEIR DOG.........DO YOU BELIEVE IT?

THE ASS WIPE HAD THE AUDACITY TO RUIN MY EVENING HUNT WHILE TRESSPASSING..........I MEAN THE WIPE TRAVELLED OVER A MILE TO GET TO ME!!!


WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I DROVE INTO THE DEER DOG CAMP AND COMMENCE TO SHOOT A DEER THERE....? IT'S THE SAME THING HERE .....IT WOULD BE WRONG AND THEY WOULD BE STARK RAVING MAD! FIGHTING MAD.....

This thread has gone beyond responsible hunting with dogs into, "MY DOG LIKES TO RUN AND YOU JUST HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IT" or I'll give you and eye for an eye.. Bullshit. I'm gonna take all you got.
Weather I have a 1/4 acre or 20,000 acres, Its mine. I teach my kids, when you go out in the world, It's a democracy, Here, in my space, its a kingdom, and I'm the king. Keep your damn dog on a leash if you cant control it or lose it.

Ya know. I've been reading this thread and wondering just exactly what "rights" some dog owners think they have.
I had a neighbor that would not keep control of their dog. Talked to him 3-4 times. I wanted to shoot it but my wife said "you cant do that".
$3,000 4 days work and a new fence finally kept that damn dog off my property. My mom was 90, my son was 10 and my grandkids were 2,4 and 6. that dog was nasty.
Tell ya what slick. Your dog comes on my property and I think it's a threat to my family, I'm gonna shoot it. ( dont care if my wife gets pissed anymore). If you cant control your dog I will. You want an eye for an eye, Bring it on. You might want to kiss your family good bye first.

I'm deciding how civil to keep this asswipe. Are you really stupid (or if I'm being nice....naive) enough to think I was talking about a vicious dog??? Get a f'ing clue. Read my goddamn post! You completely misunderstand...These are not "pets", they are dogs with no shots, no collars, and worthless owners. They are not fed, they are skin and bones and they run in packs. WTF do you think I should do? I tried being nice and asking them to build fences of get a GD leash to no avail. They know I'm killing them and don't give a rats ass. they just get another one and let it run wild. I could never shoot a lab with a collar, I have labs and german shorthairs, but they by god stay in the fence. A tri-color chow looking thing comes along chasing a deer and it's time for him to take a dirt nap...

My point was, you can be the most responsible dog owner in the world and there will be a time(s) when the dog uses his own mind and does what HE wants to do. My family raises and trains dogs and equestrian horses. I have always had sporting dogs. If you cant control your animal, give me a shout...# is 6018263823. There is NO excuse for a free roaming dog. I will say it for the last time, if your dog roams it is your fault...

Well, I really didnt mean to open a bag of worms here, I read the post as still hunters shooting pet (or any for that matter) dogs, yes he said some hunting, some stray, Well I can see your point on a stray, but it is difficult to tell some times.


But it is Mans best friend...

And the original topic was positive about a dying sport, I just hope that we can all make responsible decisions when we hunt. If we are not careful the new administration may take it ALL away.

If you were duck hunting and someones lab comes running down along the creek lost and spooks a knot you have comming in, would you really kill that too? same thing.
