Just a few more hours. I can't wait. It sure is hard to beleive that with all these people looking at this thread, surely there is some others who also enjoy my favorite passtime. Don't be scared to post. I know everyone has there own opinions so I don't get offended. Come on, someone who enjoys hunting deer with dogs post about it....

I just picked up a beagle pup the other day and hope to pick up a more experienced dog in the future. I plan on hunting rabbits with 'em.
One time while hunting deer in Montana, I worked some heavy brush hoping to drive something to my partner waiting to ambush 'em. Not long after I worked the area, some pheasant hunters came through with their dogs and jumped over twenty deer. You can't use dogs to hunt deer in Montana but now that I am on the east coast and can own a couple, I might give it a try.

As an old rabbit hunter in a previous life, a rabbit dog that runs deer is about as useful as tits on a boar hog.---- trust me, you don't want your rabbit beagles getting in the habit of running deer.
