Just got back from Bertie County.

Spent the afternoon meditating in the stand.

Managed to pick out a tasty looking doe to join me for the ride home.

2 bucks, one little 6 pointer and one "almost a shooter" 8 pointer
6 turkeys
2 squirrels.

Mod 70 winchester Zeiss 3-10, 25 WSSM 115 gr ballistic tip

Hey Jay where did you hunt in Bertie County or who were you with? I know Jeremy Johnson mates on the Citation at the village where you are at and he is a local Bertie boy.

I hunt with a club that leases land just west of Windsor.

Yep, I know Jeremy, he is a new Daddy.

Dave, actually, I was a little off on my shot, got the lower part of the spine just behind the shoulder, a little high and to the right.

I did not take any pics, but we did just have the little loins for dinner and they were delicious.
