Dead Geese

Every year as August turns into September the seasons start to change and the good people that run the Division of Game and Fish finally allow me to spread the killing grounds from the warm Gulf Stream waters to the peidmont of this great state, this year I have tried to take full advantage of the opportunity. With the help of a mother nature we have not been able to get out much to chase the wahoo and sails but as they say, "the good lord giveth and the good lord taketh away" so on the days that the wahoo day been spared the geese have paid the price. Here are a few pictures from the first half of this season. With any luck the hunting will improve as they are now starting to pick the corn and that usually get the bunched up pretty good.

you aint kiddin..any sport can get expensive as we all know and have learned. But i swear duck and goose hunting requires a shit load of everything. Land and leases are only a beginning to the sport then you have hundreds of decoys from puddlers,divers,sea ducks,canadas,snows,layout boats,layout blinds,mud boats,skiffs,trailers and on and on. May be why ive been broke ever since i started. But its worth every penny to me!

Brandon, I have a few Foiles and Zink calls that I blow from time to time. We got the stickers when we bought the decoys a few years back so it went on the trailer but I would not say that I am a "Zink" guy. In my opinion there are way to many great calls and products on the market to restrict yourself to only Zink, Avery, or Foiles.
