Hey Tim nice photos! Is that Win mag a private weapon or is it something special you get to play with? Also how much does that suppressor work a round like the .300 Win Mag it still has to be pretty damn loud? Have you guys got to play with Barrets new .416 yet? It only drops about 220 inches @ 1000yds compared to a BMG .50s 350 inches. One of my friends brought one down to play with. I only have a little over 700 yds clear to shoot but damn is that an amazing round. Stay safe over there, I have buddy with the ATF who is heading over in Feb.

I wish that was a personnel weapon!! Just one of the toys I get to play with! Suppressor does reduce the sound a fair bit. But it really just makes it a lot harder to figure out where the shot came from. It makes it quiet enough that I don't use ear pro. I haven't shot the .416. Not really familiar with it at all actually. We're starting to see some guns in .338 but that's about it. That's a pretty awesome round! Hope that answers your questions. Haven't worked much with the ATF. Kind of interesting that they are getting involved over here. But hey, it they can get themselves a piece of the pie, good for them!

They do the IED investigations, some kind of criminal investigation and some other office stuff is what he told me. He is on the BATFEs explosive ordinace investigative team, they're the ones that go in after any criminal act using explosives like Oklahoma City, 9-11, and the churchs down south that were bombed. I know he is hoping he doesnt get stuck on the IED detail, he said their getting sneaky planting two IEDs or posting snipers to target any survivors, medics or investigators. I do know he used to work for the State dept doing secret State dept stuff but he doesnt go into any kinda detail who knows maybe he still does. He brings down some interesting toys once in awhile. I havent had a chance to shoot the .338 lapua yet but it looks pretty damn interesting. The .416 is supposedly accurate up to 2400 yds but I dont have that kinda room to find out. Plus I am not anywhere near that good a shot, hell Im shaky at 800yds but I can at least put it on paper most of the time. Stay safe and post some more pics, please
I meant to ask who are you with military wise? Most dont get to play with the interesting weapons you do.
