Dang I Love Bear Hunting,

Didn't get to hunt any last year and none this year, till today. Today reminded me just how much I do enjoy it! Got the chance to get my youngest son (21) in on a very legal bear, just he and I first thing this morning. Neither one of us had any intention of taking it, I ran it back down the tree and it took off. My son said "dad that was cool'!. Then abit later on, I had him in with me in some really thick stuff and got a really ill one (this one was abit larger) started. Ended up not taking it either, but he had the chance to get in really, really close on this one. I ended up with the bear literally at my feet for quite awhile. It ended up walking away. For a kid that used to be scared to death of them, I see he's not afraid to stick with dad when it get's just abit hairy. Was really proud of the way my "young man" handled himself around both the bear's and other hunter's. He did what many folk's would want no part of!!! Of course he still think's dad's "not wrapped very tight"! But hey, he's thought that for many years now. Frank

Had to sneak away from work for yesterday, it was well worth it. It doesn't look like it's in the card's for me to take anymore time off. But my son is going again today with the same guy's. They are the same fella's I have alway's bear hunted with, so he is in good hand's. Frank
