    Coyotes

We own about 800 acres of land in Essex County, Virginia, and recently there has been some spottings of coyote. Up till a couple of years ago the turkey population and deer population has been great. But recently i can spot a major change in the number of turkey and deer. So getting to my point, has anyone else encountered this problem? if so, did yall do any drastic measures of just kill them off as you see them?

    thanks in advance

The next bite on a jig.
They are tough to kill. Always seem to be around when you are unarmed. Never around when your looking for them.

Cyote balls work good though. Take a sponge, tie it up into a little ball, soak it bacon grease and scatter about. Not humane, but effective.

900lb cable and a big J hook hang a dead rabbit or squirl from a tree branch and go check every couple days.

I wasn't aware of any significant Yote numbers in Essex County--- your biggest deer problem may be those damn Mud Shankers coming over with spotlights
I do know there is an ass load of turkey eating foxes in Essex that need to be thinned out.
Anyway, if you don't have the time or ability to cull any Coyotes on your own, contact the Va. Farm Bureau or Va. DGIF--- there is a list of trappers that will come and get rid of em for you (as I understand it, they usually charge a fee).

    100% effective solution

evry deer you shoot, butcher it and everything that is left guts included take a large cow syringe or a marinade injector and a gallon of antifreeze and inject the hell out of it. Works on all kinds of meat eaters(foxes, wild dogs, stray cats, yotes, all sorts of egg eaters and deer chasers)

They are around up and down the DelMarva. I see 'em on my morning drive to work usually in Del. they have been spooted in broad daylight right here in downtown Ocean Pines Md.!
used to wonder about those dead deer on the roadside but far enough off so a vehicle could'nt get them.

    Thumbs up yote calls

Hey bro sounds like all you need to do is get you some nice coyote calls and bring him in and make ya a nice rug or something! Rabbit in duress is a great call! or a stereo with a cd of game calls will work too as long as you have a good clear speakers then just sit an wait! Good will hunting
