Wednesday although the weather wasn't too nice we headed to Jordan Lake for our last chance of hunting this slot.
Got 2 surprises, a black duck with jewelry and our first bufflehead this far from the coast...





Ponce we've been enjoying your boat... Thanks again, you'll have to come on Core sound around Christmas...





Saturday was another rainy day and we did the closing at the coast. The dippers sure have arrived but didn't see many good ducks. With this change of weather it should become good for the 19th...

I grew up hunting Jordan and still do occasionally when I'm back home. Only killed one black duck there in 12 or so years of hunting so you're definitely gettin' it done. I have killed a bunch of buffleheads in that part of the state, mostly at Harris when I used to brave the crowds there back in high school. My buddy also had a large farm pond that the Buffies used to flock to for some reason. Keep up the good hunting, I know the crowds can get tough around there on the public land...
