I have been stuck hunting public land the last two years for the majority of my hunting (with only one good hunting trip per year to "special places" like a coastal Ga Island or this year my families farm in Maine)

A buddy of mine and I decided to start checking some other parts of the Public property I hunted last year with DISMALL results. Yesterday we hit the mother load. We checked 4 spots, and 3 were covered up. And they are not in areas most would even think of checking. We found 2 hog wallows, plenty of pig sign, and rooting, and lots of nice deer tracks, and even saw a nice buck on the way in.

I don't know what to think. I know the season has not opened in there yet, but it looks like we may have found a place so out of the way (I mean its a LONG ways away from a paved road) and it appears to be a series of super highways for the game.... for gun or bow. Only 12 days from the season opener for me!

Realize this is after MANY MANY MANY hours of scouting. I am finally fired up.
