    Coming to the call!

Been doing some predator hunting since deer season went out. All these were taken in eastern N.C.

Pretty work! How about some more details! Some tips on setting up on the coyotes especially!

Trex, The first thing you have to get by is the nose I try to set up down wind of were I think they will come from. I use a Foxpro call on the yotes they are illegal on cats I have a mouth call for that. Distress rabbits and foxes are the norm on the call but they will respond to howls and coyote pup distress. I also use a decoy it can be a turkey wing flapping in the wind hanging from a 4' dow rod from a piece of fishing line (but it has to be fluoro) or one of the many electronic decoys that are on the market I like Mojo's crtitter the best..It is some fun hunting, the yotes come in full blast and they can smell better than the oldest bucks around. Foxpro calls are the best on the market but they are high $ but if I am going to spend my time in the woods I want the best. The cats came to Primos Catnip call but they are slow to respond and it can be a ***** blowing the call that long and a decoy is a most on a cat hunt. I have taken several in the last few years, cats are not smart at all and have no care of human smell.

What are you shooting them with? I used to shoot yotes with my AR-15 SBR, but since I sold it, I havent been. I have a great Ruger bolt gun in .223 in the safe.

    How far are you shooting?

Good info. Are you hunting at night? Doesn't seem like the decoy would matter if that was the case??? I always thought of coyotes and cats and all of the others to be mostly active at night though
