I just got back from Colorado after hunting the second season. They say the elk population is down and we did not see the numbers of elk we are used to seeing. I did manage to connect on this bull from 330 yards with a single shot of my .300 win mag. It was a good trip with some snow and great weather.

CONGRATS ON THE LONG SHOT ...YOU CERTAINLY HAD THE FIREPOWER TO MAKE IT! 300YDS IS DEFINITELY PROOF THERE WAS SOME PROPER ZEROING-IN BEFORE THE HUNT.

Awesome! My Dad hunts an area up near Craig. He just started hunting up there last year. Did well, he shot a nice 5x5. We used to hunt down south near Cripple Creek but the buddy that got us down there passed away. I'm looking forward to hunting up north next year!
