Talked to Z about his saefty that didn't work on an earlier hunt. He found alot of buffer from the heavy shot he was using and the area around the safety was jammed packed. Cleaned and works great now. BUT. The safety can be disabled while carrying the gun rested on shoulder, wader straps really make it bad. In off season he will either have Browning or a gunsmith cut it down to prevent this from occurring. He has had a bit of a run on guns lately, 1 at the bottom of a lake from a hunt last year. Now a safety issue on a new $1,000+ auto loader. He is still impressed with the performance and handling of the Maxus!
