My bow is sighted in from a tree and that's where I practice. I would suggest, if possible, to "practice how you play."

We shoot flat in the yard most all year round. When its time to hunt we shoot off of my roof. 30 yards on my range finder. 20-25 feet up.
I always shoot bottom half. Not from poor form but shooting from that roof will teach you how to hit them. They all hear that bow, all I have seen are ducking before the arrow gets there. Practicing as you would be hunting is very important. Same gear, same height. |
