Black cloud!!!

From what I've read, there seems to be a lot of critisisum going around about weather or not it is worth the extra few bucks. I would rather take one shot with a black cloud than having to shoot three shots at a buflehead any day of the season! I have noticed that we have been killing our ducks stone dead this year and I think the Black Cloud has something to do with it

I tried it and didn't like it either. I have to say that I didn't give it a fair trial, but why change something that works.

For me it's fast steel #2 or Hevi Steel #6's

Ok, all kidding aside. I have not had the pleasure of trying Black Cloud as I can not find it in 2 &2/3" shells. I do feel that it is all in what you get use to. I remember when we could shoot lead shells, almost nothing escaped me, then we had to go to steel and I could not hit or kill much with it. After almost 2 years, I was back to shooting almost the same as I was with lead. Then we had Bisthmas (sp?) abd again I could not shoot well with it, and then Hevishot, same thing. I finely figured out that for me, hevishot was best used as a last shot of the 3.
Jacky, my best guess is thet if you are hitting and killing with Black Cloud, there are 2 things going on, first, you are swinging out past the birds to fast for the steel, which is the fastest of the 2 or your choke is not pattering the steel as well as the Black Cloud. Either way, shoot what you kill with the best...just glad I am not paying your shot shell bill...
I would keep some #6 steel handy for those birds thet are trying to escape...

i love it..it kills them dead for me. Ive shot a double at about 55 yards with a black cloud shell and both birds had holes the size of a nickel in them.
