    Beretta & Benelli Autoloader Tip

All you waterfowlers out there shooting Berettas or Benellis--- After 12 years of pure abuse ducking with my Beretta AL390, the recoil spring and tube has crapped out. It started last season in cold weather getting a bit sluggish, but still worked. This year with the early cold snap, the gun wouldn't cycle. Turns out, the recoil spring and tube were rusted all to crap providing too much resistence. You can order a new factory spring/tube from Cole Gunsmiths in Maine, OR there is a stainless steel unit made for a few bucks more ( about $150).

These stainless tubes/springs are available from Cabelas and a couple other places on the internet. Hopefully the ole Silver Mallard will be good to go for another 25 years.

I just sent my SBE down to active camo in texas for a complete going over,i had them put the surecycle springs in and new magazine spring and billett stopper plus teflon the bolt and had an oversize bolt handle put on and finally had them refinish it in a rough texture finish in the digital camo pattern! the gun is a machine and way better now.
