When I was a kid, there was a local lake that hired a trapper to rid the lake of beavers, because they were getting the ornamental trees around the lake. That guy came in and put a whommping on them for a few days. We asked him how he was doing it and he said something about lures. He left and we set off all his traps, because we liked the beavers. After about a week of it, he got tired of empty traps and left.

I like them too but my neighbor shoots a couple a year. He thinks they are causing some of the silt problem in our cove but that's BS. Bring em on!
