    Question

    Ok...let me try and get this thread back on point. (NO DISRESPECT to Mrs. Seapower or Mrs. Pickles) For those of us not so well versed in the world of the "Ursus americanus" what are we looking for when we see these pictures. Obviously (or maybe not) we have a Sow with some cubs...what are some quick way's to "sex" them? How about when judging age or weight? They have recently opened a VERY small season out here and it got me thinking about all the stuff i don't know about bear. Thanks...cool pictures by the way!

    Let's start with the easy stuff. There aren't any bear in the first 7 picture's. Around here, we generally roll em' over and rub their belly's at some point in the hunt. If you run into something rubbing you back, then it's a male. Frank
