Hunted with Dad near Saxis this afternoon. Started by shootin a few buffalo heads. Dad shot his old double barrell 20 gauge. He did ok. Our dog Gunner made an awesome 100 yard retreive on a winged buffalo head. He was very proud when he delivered to shore.

As we getting ready to leave three geese came tiptoeing across the water from Bernard Island. We started calling slowly at first and when they got off to our right we called hard and tried to sound like a bunch of excited geese. I thought my Faulk 616 sounded better than Dad's flute. They turned sharply toward the decoys and when they cut by at 35 yards Dad said the magic words... CUT 'EM!! j

I shot once and the middle one fell. After I shot Dad shot but didn't draw a feather.

On the way home we struck a spike buck with with Dad's Redneck Truck. I think it is made of all steel. It was very sad to have to shoot him like that on the side of the road. Tommorrow after hunting we are going to take him to the Hunter's for the Hungry. That will make me feel better about what happened.
